You need to ensure that you get enough sleep. Right now, sleep may be difficult, but you function much better when well rested. If you are having difficulty sleeping, keep your bedroom dark, buy a new pillow, or take a hot bath before bed to relax. Eating a well balanced diet is also important. Always have good foods at hand and take in sufficient water. Maintaining your good health habit will not only reduce stress, but it will help you fight the temptation to develop bad ones. Taking good care of yourself by having adequate sleep and practicing wise eating habits can take you out of the Divorce Trauma and make you feel less stressful.
It is vital to take time for exercising. Exercising can improve your mood, provide energy and help eliminate some of the stress hormones inside the body. Have fun with a quick jaunt through the park or something else to keep you active to use up extra energy and to enjoy the outdoors. Yoga, and deep breathing, is another good way to ease stress - just five deep breaths can make you feel more relaxed! Care to meet new people? Shake up your routine by taking a new exercise class!
You shouldn't be scared to pamper yourself. We spend so much of our lives taking care of others; now is the time to put yourself first. You need to indulge by going to nice restaurants, taking a long vacation or starting new hobbies.
